Teacher, author, curriculum developer, and entrepreneur, Chris Ryan is the CEO and cofounder of Silverquicken Education, which provides uniquely compelling enrichment programs for middle-graders. With an MBA from Duke and a BA in physics from Harvard, Chris strives to help students awaken their curiosity and sense of wonder as they learn. He taught high-school physics and chemistry for several years, then helped grow a boutique education startup from a “one room schoolhouse” to the world’s largest provider of GMAT test-preparation services. He has authored, co-authored, and edited numerous books, including The 5-lb Book of ACT Practice Problems, Case Studies & Cocktails (a guide to life at business school) and the Tunisian section of Let’s Go: Italy. Chris believes in opening the doors of gifted education more widely and in the "Power of Puzzles" and other intrinsically motivating activities to develop our children's capabilities.
